304 stainless steel wire mesh sheet and panels contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It is not as corrosion resistant as 316, but it is acceptable (and more affordable) for most uses.

Although it melts at 2,600 degrees Fahrenheit (1430 degrees Celsius), it is best used continuously at 1450 degrees Fahrenheit (790 degrees Celsius) and 1650 degrees Fahrenheit (900 degrees Celsius) for intermediate use.
